Richard Klein is a senior research fellow at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and an adjunct professor at the Centre for Climate Science and Policy Research of Linköping University.

A world expert on adaptation, Richard leads SEI’s research theme ‘Reducing climate risk’. His own work focuses on adaptation finance and governance, vulnerability measurement, the role of the private sector in adaptation, and the links between climate and development.

Richard is the founder and editor in chief of the academic journal Climate and Development. He has been an IPCC author since 1994.
